Highlights:
The national museum was originally built by King Rama V around the secret collection of antiquities of his father King Rama IV. It nowadays holds a number of galleries that lead you from the prehistoric period of Thailand, through the early kingdoms such as Lanna and Sukhothai through Ayutthaya period and nationally to the modern Thai kingdom established in Bangkok. The highlight is the palace’s private chapel, carted Phra Thinung Phatthaisawan, the Throne Hall, now used for special exhibition and the Red.
